Former Othello standout Christine Kirkwood, competing for Washington State University, threw the javelin 150 feet, 4 inches to finish fourth at the USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Bloomington, Ind.
WSU teammate Anna Adamko of Vancouver, Wash., was eighth with a toss of 142-3.
Haley Crouser, who set the American junior record of 181-2 in April at the Aloha (Ore.) Relays, had the winning throw of 166-6. She and fellow Oregonian Brianna Bain (161-2) will move on to represent the United States next month at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Barcelona, Spain.
