Kennewick firefighters work to extinguish a blaze behind a heat pump outside the Dogs' Best Friend groomery at 4415 W. Clearwater Ave. A passerby, Jim Rieger, 45, of Kennewick, was walking past the business in the Crossroads Mall across from WinCo, when he spotted flames coming from behind the heat pump. He alerted people working inside and a neighboring businessman helped douse the fire with water before fire crews arrived. TRI-CITY HERALDBuy Photo
