* 2002 -- Richland's Nina Doane struck out 11 and extended her scoreless inning streak to 65, and Morgan Richeson tossed a shutout in the nightcap as the Bombers swept Kamiaki 7-0 and 3-0 in Big Nine softball to finish an 18-0 regular season. The Bombers would go on to place third at state.

* 1994 -- The Tri-Cities was awarded a Western Baseball League franchise ... sort of. The WBL released a list of seven cities receiving a franchise, and the Tri-Cities was left off the list. However, the WBL gave local organizers an "if you build it, we will come" promise on a new stadium bringing to town a team. The stadium they built near TRAC -- now Gesa Stadium -- and the team they named the Tri-City Posse.
