TENNIS: Hanford girls fall to West Valley in first loss of season

Hanford's Sierra Troxel posted a victory in straight sets against her visiting West Valley rival in the No. 1 singles contest, but the Falcons girls still incurred their first loss of the season, 5-2.

The West Valley win means a three-way split of the CBBN 3A league championship, with the Rams sharing the title with Hanford and Southridge.

And the Hanford boys, who clinched the league title Tuesday with a 7-0 rout of Sunnyside, backed up their success with a 7-0 win Wednesday against West Valley. Individual results were not available at press time.

Boys: Hanford 7, West Valley 0.
