SEATTLE — The University of Washington baseball team's trip to Texas for two nonconference games was canceled Monday, because of the weather forecast.

The Huskies were scheduled to play at Lamar on Tuesday in Beaumont, Texas, and at the University of Houston on Wednesday. Forecasts for South Texas call for heavy rain and thunderstorms.

The games will not be rescheduled. The UW coaching staff is looking to add a game or two to make up for the cancellations.

UW is scheduled to host CSU Bakersfield at Husky Ballpark this Friday through Sunday in a nonconference three-game series.
