Arizona baseball sweeps Washington State

— Arizona came from behind in both games of a Pac-12 doubleheader to sweep Washington State 8-7 and 12-9 on Saturday at Hi Corbett Field.

Arizona (16-4 overall, 2-1 Pac-12) scored seven times in the fifth inning of the nightcap to erase a 3-2 deficit. In the opener, Washington State (10-8, 1-2), jumped out to a 5-0 lead after a half an inning before the Wildcats rallied for the win.

Kyle Swannack (1-2) took the loss in the second game for the Cougars, while Joe Pistorese (1-2) took the loss in relief in the opener.
