Hannah Moon, a Kennewick graduate, recorded a 9-1 win at 139 pounds over Cindy Kuang of San Jose State to win the National Collegiate Wrestling Association women's national championship Saturday in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Moon, a freshman at Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay, beat MIT's Elana Glassman, a three-time all-American and national champion, in the semifinals to help her team win the national team title.

Over the summer, Moon won a women's junior freestyle national title. She won a state title for Kennewick in 2011, joining her father, Tim Moon, as state champions. Tim Moon won titles for Kamiakin in 1972 and '73, the first for the Braves.
