Drama students qualify for state thespian fest

Drama students from Richland and Hanford high schools finished in the top 10 percent at the Eastern Washington Thespian Festival in Cheney in January.

The students qualified to perform in March at the Washington State Thespian Festival at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.

The Richland High students who qualified under the direction of Ellicia Elliott are: Rachel Firen Hodges, sophomore, in the monologue category; Ethan Dodd, a junior, and Hodges for musical duet; Dodd for musical solo.

Hanford High students who qualified under the direction of Matt Leggett are: Emily Curran, senior; Chris Wilson, senior; Sean Hendrickson, junior; and Garrett Lander, junior, for duo scene category; Hendrickson; Arna Ramic, senior; Ylva Blomquist, senior; and Shea McAuley, junior, for group acting; Katie Evans, freshman, and Emily Carlson, sophomore, in monologue; Brianna Garza, senior; Jaqcki Campbell, junior, and Lynnea Glasen, junior, for pantomime.
