* 2001: Six Hermiston wrestlers advanced to the quarterfinals of the Oregon 4A state championships at Portland's Memorial Coliseum. Defending state champion Kyle Larson earned two wins at 130 pounds to move on in the tournament. Bryan Medelez (125), Orlando Perez (140), Jeremy Larson (152) and Jed Lowe (189) also had two wins apiece. Fellow Bulldog Andrew Reed (171) posted an 8-1 decision against Crater's Levi Wisdom after a first-round bye.
