Waitsburg-Prescott girls beat Dayton for district title

Ronnie Hulce had 14 points and Dionna Baker and Kristin Potter had 11 points apiece as Waitsburg-Prescott defended its Southeast 2B district championship crown with a 45-33 victory Monday against Dayton at Whitman College in Walla Walla.

McKayla Bickelhaupt led Dayton with 9 points.

"Our inside game probably helped us the most," Cardinals coach Jerry Baker said. "We struggled shooting from the outside, but got a lot of fast break opportunities."
