A 24-year-old Prosser man led Kennewick police on a chase late Thursday through Benton County, ending with his arrest in Finley.

Officers saw Abram Anthony Mireles about 9:20 p.m. and knew he was a wanted felon, police said. They tried to stop Mireles near 10th Avenue and Olympia Street in Kennewick but he sped off, police said.

Benton County sheriff's deputies then helped by laying down spike strips near Highway 297 and South Finley Road.

The spikes damaged two of his tires, but Mireles kept going before finally stopping near Bryson Brown Road.

He was booked into the Benton County jail on investigation of attempting to elude police and failing to comply with a civil contempt order.
