Kennewick Police Officer and D.A.R.E. officer Mike Meyer was awarded the Chief's Award of Excellence on Thursday by Chief Ken Hohenberg at Lincoln Elementary School in Kennewick. Officer Meyer has been the D.A.R.E. officer for five years and the award recognizes his dedication and contribution to the program.
