DAYTON -- An apparently random selection of Dayton businesses, including the liquor store, a grocery and the prosecuting attorney's office, were burglarized Sunday.

According to business owners, the suspected burglar broke in through business windows and took various inexpensive items.

"It looked like he rummaged around a little bit," said Prosecuting Attorney Rea Culwell, adding the burglar took some change and a pair of coffee mugs.

Wallace McCauley, owner of McQuary's Grocery, said cigarettes and change from a till were taken.

Front and back doors of Jamison's PDQ Food Mart were damaged, but no one gained entry into the store according to employees there.
