* 1987 -- Pasco's Allen Warren hit an uncontested layup with 16 seconds remaining in overtime as the Bulldogs boys basketball team clinched a share of the Big 9 title with a 51-46 win over Davis. Pasco shared the conference crown with Richland and Eisenhower, all with 11-5 final conference records.
* 1987 -- Kennewick's Dax Logsdon (141 pounds) and Brady Yount (171), and Richland's Tom Yamamoto (101) all won Region IV wrestling championships at Central Valley High School in Spokane.
