Two suspected gang members are being held on $200,000 bail, and a third is being sought in connection with an assault Friday in Pasco.

A $500,000 warrant was issued for Isidro Licon's arrest Monday for a suspected attack on rival gang members at a Pasco apartment, according to Franklin County Superior Court documents.

Licon, 24, of Pasco, is being sought in connection with a shooting late Friday at Fifth Avenue and Court Street in Pasco. In that incident, a 39-year-old man was reportedly shot in the face.

No other details about the shooting, including the victim's name, have been released.

Licon, Stephen Esteras Morfin and Edgar Alonzo Arroyos are accused of hitting and threatening a Pasco woman who is said to be part of a rival gang.

Morfin, 21, of Kennewick and Arroyos, 20, of Pasco were arrested over the weekend by Pasco and Kennewick police and booked into the Franklin County jail.

They made preliminary appearances in court Monday, where they were ordered held on investigation of first-degree assault.

According to court documents, Pasco officers were sent to an apartment at 302 W. B St. at 4:15 p.m. Friday after dispatchers received a call from a woman. The line disconnected and when dispatchers called back, someone answered but then hung up again.

When officers arrived, they found Sylvia Guerra, 33, and her daughter, Selina Cortez, 18, and saw they both appeared to have been assaulted, documents stated.

Broken furniture and glassware was also found in the apartment.

Officers learned Licon, Arroyos and Morfin had gone to the apartment to see Guerra's boyfriend, Jaime Gutierrez, 22, of Pasco.

Gutierrez and the three suspects are in the same gang, though Guerra and her daughter are in a rival gang, documents stated.

When Licon saw Guerra in the apartment, he yelled at her. Cortez then came out of a bedroom and began defending her mother by yelling at Licon, documents said.

Licon allegedly threw Cortez to the ground, pulled a pistol out of his waistband, put it in her face, put his finger on the trigger and said he was going to shoot her, documents said.

When Guerra then tried to stop Licon from assaulting her daughter, Arroyos reportedly hit her in the face. Guerra said she was pleading for Cortez's life and thought Licon was going to shoot Cortez in the head, documents said.

Morfin then allegedly pointed a pistol at Guerra's face, then pistol-whipped her, leaving a red mark on her forehead and a cut inside her mouth, documents said.

Licon, Morfin and Arroyos eventually ran out of the apartment.

In court Monday, Deputy Prosecutor Teddy Chow asked for the $200,000 bail for Morfin and Arroyos. He also requested gang conditions for the men, requiring them to have no contact with gang members and follow a curfew keeping them home from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., if they make bail.

Morfin and Arroyos were also ordered to have no contact with Guerra, Cortez or Gutierrez.

Prosecutors have until Wednesday to charge or release them. If charged, Morfin and Arroyos will be back in court Feb. 21.

Sheriff seeks details in death of pregnant woman

Grant County sheriff's officials are asking for the public's help to solve the death of a pregnant Mattawa woman, who was shot while unloading groceries from her car late Saturday.

The 28-year-old woman and her unborn son were killed about 11 p.m. Saturday at an apartment complex at 825 Third Place, said Chief Deputy Ryan Rectenwald.

Esperanza Vicente-Mestizo was 71/2 months pregnant. She died from gunshot wounds to the torso, said Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison.

It was not a drive-by shooting, but investigators don't yet know if it is gang-related.

Pasco man arrested in residentail break-in

A 29-year-old Pasco man arrested Saturday is accused of repeatedly showing up at his ex-girlfriend's apartment and breaking in through a window when she wouldn't let him in.

Sergio Sanchez is being held in the Franklin County jail for investigation of residential burglary. His bail was set at $25,000.

"I am on the lease of the home I supposedly broke into," Sanchez told Judge Craig Matheson in Franklin County Superior Court on Monday. "I didn't have a key and went in through the window, and my girlfriend didn't want me there."

Matheson, however, found cause to hold Sanchez but said the bail could be re-addressed if Sanchez is charged.

According to court documents, Sanchez's 23-year-old former girlfriend called police at 11 p.m. Friday after Sanchez climbed into the apartment through the window.

Once inside, Sanchez had a short confrontation with a man who is friends with the victim. Sanchez vowed he would come back, documents said.

Sanchez then returned to the Carriage Square Apartments at 1327 N. 24th Ave., four times throughout the night. The victim called police each time, but Sanchez would leave before officers arrived.

The victim said she felt harassed and feared what Sanchez might do. Around 6 a.m. Saturday, police were called again when Sanchez showed up outside her bedroom window holding a knife in the air and to his neck saying "you better let me in."

Sanchez was arrested a short time later and reportedly admitted to climbing into the window and going to the apartment several times, even though he knew his ex-girlfriend didn't want him there.

Prosecutors have until Wednesday to charge or release Sanchez. If charged, he is expected back in court on Feb. 21.
