Would I prefer a primary instead of a caucus?

As an independent, I sure would. I want to vote for the one I feel is the best candidate regardless of party, and not just the one the party picked. I'd like to have all the candidates from all the parties show up on the ballot and let America decide. This would tend to handicap the vote-buying PACs and corporations, since they can't buy all of them, and too much money thrown at one candidate would stand out like a neon sign. To limit the number of candidates, you could make the qualifications a bit more strict, requiring a certain amount of experience in leadership (not just as a politician, which doesn't require a leader's skills, just the ability to manipulate people).

On another, related, issue, I'd like to see the country pay for all the politicking, a fixed amount for each candidate and all campaign contributions go into a Politics Pot to be used to pay for it.
