Walla Walla girls defeat Wenatchee 52-35 in Class 4A District 5/6 Tournament semifinal

WALLA WALLA -- Libbie Jimenez had 13 points and MiKayla Ferenz added 10 more as the Walla Walla girls basketball team defeated Wenatchee 52-35 on Saturday in a Class 4A District 5/6 tournament semifinal.

"It was a big win," Blue Devils coach Jill Meliah said. "We put all four quarters together and we're excited to play Chiawana in the district championship."

WENATCHEE -- Kansky, Parker, Miller, Stone, Schroeder, Buterbaugh 9, Michaela George 14, Sealby 8, Chandler 2, Rockstad 2. Totals 13-45 6-7 35.

WALLA WALLA -- Thompson, Greene 8, Crawford 4, Molitor 5, Doepker, M. Ferenz 10, Hodnefield 3, Libbie Jimenez 13, Sirmon 6, K. Ferenz, Hamada 3. Totals 18-50 10-12 52.
