Hanford and Southridge boys fighting it out to stay alive in the district playoffs. The two teams split this season, with each team winning at home.
Here we go:
Hanford off to a good start. Joe Douglas finds Bear Braich cutting into the low block for a bucket, and then Braich buries a 3 from the top of the key to cap a 7-0 run.
Southridge fights back to tie it on a 3-pointer from Matt Mendenhall with 2:48 left in the quarter.
Mendenall hits another 3, this time from the left wing, to give the Suns a 10-9 lead, but Braich answers back with his second trey of the game to put the Falcons back up 12-10.
Hanford ends the frame on a 7-0 run and leads 16-10.

Suns not rotating on defense, and coach Jason DeVere is furious.
Braich was wide open at the top of the key on Hanford's first possession of the second quarter and buried the 3. DeVere immediately called a timeout and didn't wait for his team to come to the bench. He stepped out onto the court and started screaming at them right there.
Unfortunately, it hasn't helped Southridge. Nothing has, really. Braich's 3-pointer started a 9-2 run, and then Hanford outscored the Suns 8-4 after that to take a 33-16 lead at the half.
Braich and Douglas are complementing each other nicely with the hi-low game. Douglas is the most overpowering player in the league, but he's popped up to the high post and made nice passes to teammates cutting inside.
Braich may have struggled earlier this season, but he's on his game tonight, leading all scorers with 13 points. Douglas has eight.
Mendenhall leads Southridge with eight at the half.

Suns on a nice run in the third quarter. They've figured out their perimeter defense and got some things going on offense. Dylan Hayes made a nice play, grabbing a miss by Brad Scott and putting it back with a foul call. He completed the three-point play that helped spark a 10-5 run.
Mendenhall then hit back-to-back 3s to cut the lead to 38-32 with 3:50 left in the third.
Nick Mandell then hit a 3 from the left wing to make it a three-point game at 38-35.

Barnburner here. A lot has happened here in the fourth.
Suns have made it all the way back, and Garrett Willard just hit a bucket inside for a 62-61 Southridge lead with 19 seconds left.
Douglas gets the ball on the low block and dribbled into a double team. He missed the shot and Henry Wyborne grabbed the rebound with 5 seconds left and passed to Mendenhall, who was fouled. Suns lead 62-61 with Mendenhall at the line.
He drills both free throws for a 64-61 lead. Hanford gets one last look at a 3, but Braich's shot bounces off the rim.
Southridge will travel to Kamiakin tonight at 7 p.m. tonight.
