Kamiakin's Rexus signs with University of Idaho

TRI-CITY HERALD February 9, 2012

KENNEWICK -- Kamiakin distance runner Stephanie Rexus, who finished fourth at the Class 3A state cross country meet and eighth at Nike Border Clash, signed to run for the Idaho Vandals on Wednesday.

Rexus, who led the Braves to back-to-back fourth-place team finishes at state, finishes as the school record holder on 3-mile and 5-kilometer courses and hopes to improve on her record 3,200-meter time in track this spring.

The Tri-City Herald's female cross country runner of the year will join a squad that won back-to-back Western Athletic Conference women's titles and has multiple WAC champions and NCAA qualifiers in distance events in track and field.
