I read with interest John Bloom's letter (Jan. 25) about Doonsbury being vicious and not funny, attacking Newt Gingrich and should not have been published.

For me, I skip over comic strips that I find not entertaining but find Doonsbury's humor in politics somewhat refreshing. I am surprised Doonesbury is published in the Tri-City Herald being as this area is so conservative.

On the other hand, I avoid AM talk radio that daily degrades the president of the United States, even the news on the radio is politically slanted (The Huckabee Report).

So you may prefer listening to talk radio while I listen to soft music.
