PROSSER -- Prosser's Jubilee Ministry Food Bank received more than $1,000 and 70 pounds of food thanks to a recent fundraiser by Milbrandt Vineyards in Prosser.

The winery owned by the Milbrandt brothers collected donations in lieu of regular tasting fees from the annual Thanksgiving in Wine Country event to Christmas.

The Prosser food bank provided meals for more than 200 Prosser families during the past holiday season. To donate to the food bank, call 509-786-3033.

Milbrandt Vineyards often stages fundraisers during event weekends by accepting donations rather than tasting fees. The next event is Wine Yakima Valley's Red Wine & Chocolate, Feb. 18-19, and tasting fees will support the Benton Franklin Chapter of the American Red Cross.
