Do I understand that in order for "equality" to be served, we must abandon the Judeo-Christian belief and mooring of the sanctity of marriage and the definition of family?
For "the people" to be more "tolerant" we must accept the destruction of a 4,000-year-old cultural tradition which is the foundation of our society and creation of families?
Are marriage, man and wife and the family really just an outdated institution? I would state emphatically, "Far from it!" Without the nuclear family, we are doomed as a society.
All of this has been tried before, i.e. Rome for example. The "tolerant" leaders then did not understand just how their departure from the cultural norms was going to affect the lives of so many people. A review of history has provided ample evidence that over and over again the change in "toleration," the change in culture, made for new groups and these new groups did not tolerate anything or anyone outside of their new group.
Are the "families," mom, dad, and children, going to be the "outside" group, or the "intolerant" group of people? Isn't that what you are saying?
