EAST WENATCHEE -- Nikki Gilbert and Charity Degman combined for 27 points to lead the Eastmont girls basketball team to a 53-41 victory Saturday in CBBN 3A action against Kennewick.
Kennewick got a game-high 17 points from Angelique Whistocken, who did a good job attacking the basket, according to Lions coach Tarah Staton.
"We were in the double bonus with 7 minutes left in the fourth quarter, but we struggled from the free throw line. That hurt us," she said of Kennewick hitting 15 of 24 from the stripe. "It was a close game, a physical game, and the girls played really well."
