Carlie Berry, 17, of Kennewick, and Emily Campagna, 16, of Hermiston, were the overall winners in the annual Young Artists Competition, sponsored by the Mid-Columbia Symphony.
Both will be guest performers at the symphony's March concert. Campagna is a violinist. Berry is a pianist.
Other young musicians who earned recognition in their categories include Jessica Lui, 10, of Richland; Andrew Um, 13, of Richland; Amelia Powell, 12, of Yakima; Spencer Hoffner, 10, of Richland and Michelle Chou, 11, of Richland.
