Spending questioned

12:00am on Feb 1, 2012; Modified: 7:42am on Feb 1, 2012

Today I received my voters envelope in which it is my choice to vote regarding the Pasco School District levy.

I totally believe that voting is a responsibility for everyone in our school district. But should we vote yes or no is the question.

Will they spend the money where it belongs? All children need an education but should we all have to pay the price for special education, translators, music instruction, and all the extras? I and several seniors in our area have never sent kids to the schools here or if so, it was many years ago. Why, I ask? Should we who are on a fixed income, pay for Spanish or Russian translators or classes?

I hope and pray that if the levy passes, they use the money very wisely.
