PULLMAN — Washington State University men's basketball guard Faisal Aden will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn knee ligament last Thursday in Tucson, Ariz.

He tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during in the first half of the game vs. Arizona.

Aden, a 6-foot-4 guard from San Diego, was averaging a team second-best 14.5 points a game (ninth in the Pac-12), while shooting a league-best .894 (42-for-47) from the free throw line.

Fresh off being named the Pac-12 Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 16-22, he tallied six points and grabbed two rebounds in 11 minutes of action in the game against the Wildcats.

Washington State (11-10, 3-6 Pac-12) looks to remain perfect in Pullman as it plays host Thursday to USC (6-16, 1-8) at Beasley Coliseum. Tip is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
