Two armed robbery suspects are being sought by Kennewick police after allegedly forcing employees of a pizza restaurant into a walk-in freezer Sunday.

No money was stolen in the 8:50 p.m. robbery at Round Table Pizza, 3300 W. Clearwater Ave., said Officer Ron Salter.

Employees and customers were in the restaurant at the time that the two suspects entered through a back door and forced employees into the freezer, he said.

One of the suspects was armed with what was described as a silver semi-automatic pistol.

When officers arrived at the restaurant, they searched the business to ensure the suspects were not still inside. Richland police and Benton County sheriff's deputies also responded and helped check that open businesses in the area were safe.

No one was hurt. None of the customers knew anything was going on, police said.

The suspects are said to be 6 feet tall with medium builds.

One suspect wore a dark-colored baseball cap, dark-colored sunglasses and dark jacket. The other man was wearing a white and green bandana over his face, a green hooded sweatshirt and dark colored winter jacket.

Both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kennewick police immediately. Anonymous tips can be made through Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers at 586-8477.
