Zach Bartlow and Dustin Wooderchak combined for 19 points, but it was freshman Chance Leroue who provided a big boost at the end of Waitsburg-Prescott's 51-44 upset win at home over second-ranked Dayton in Southeast 2B boys basketball play Monday night.
"This was only his third varsity game, but he gave us a monster lift with seven points, five boards and two steals," said Cardinals coach T.J. Scott. "We've got to do a lot better job of finishing the game. We tried to give it away tonight."
Kroft Sunderland led the Bulldogs with 11 points.
