Marilyn and Leland Davis of Kennewick will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Feb. 5 with an open house reception from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Kennewick Church of Christ and with a reception at the Davis family reunion at Millersylvania State Park in May.
They were married Feb. 8, 1952, at the pastor's home from the McCleary Church of Christ. They moved to the Mid-Columbia in 1954.
Marilyn was an office manager and bookkeeper for 18 years. She retired in 1996 from Dr. Oberg's office. She has been a volunteer for Hospice House and Safe Harbor.
Leland ran a milk route early on and later became co-owner of an automotive business, Downtown Services and L&L Exxon in Richland, before retiring in 1996. After retirement, he worked for Pacific Laser and Cataract as a part-time transporter.
They are members of Kennewick Church of Christ and enjoy activities with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marilyn likes homemaking, hosting parties and being with friends. Leland joins her in these activities as well as golfing.
They have three children, Kristy Davis of Milan, Italy; Doug (Mary) Davis of Kennewick; and Julie Davis of Kennewick.
They have six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
