KENNEWICK -- New Hope Community Church will give away food baskets Monday on a first-come, first-served basis from 8 to 11 a.m.

The church is at 731 Columbia Center Blvd.,Suite 124, across the street from Applebee's in Kennewick.

Recipients need three pieces of identification or be part of a state or federal program to receive assistance.

Financial Peace series starting in February

RICHLAND -- The Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University series is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. beginning Feb. 12 at Reata Springs Baptist Church, 2881 Leslie Road, Richland.

The first session is free. You'll need to order the class materials for the other sessions.

Science of the Mind classes to start

KENNEWICK -- The Center for Spiritual Living will hold three, eight-week Science of the Mind classes at 210 E. 3rd Ave., Kennewick.

The classes are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Each class series costs $110.

Building a Healing Consciousness, begins Monday. The textbook is Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes.

Power of Decision begins Jan. 31. The textbook is Power of Decision by Raymond Charles Barker.

And Financial Freedom begins Feb. 2.

Awesome God Tour planned for Feb. 4

KENNEWICK -- The Awesome God Tour, a Christian music concert, plays Feb. 4 at South Hills Church, 3700 W. 27th Ave., Kennewick.

Christian recording artist and Dove Award winner, Bebo Norman and Adam Cappa, who recently toured with recording artist Jeremy Camp, are two of the performers.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the concert begins at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 per person at the door.

The concert is sponsored by Positive Life Radio and Musicianaries International, which will be taking donations to help raise money for rice for Cambodians.

Last year, Positive Life Radio listeners donated more than $200,000, which will be used to buy 333 tons of rice to be distributed in Cambodia later this year.
