As our local school district superintendents and athletic directors determine the fate of the Big Nine conference, I ask that they keep in mind those parents who have children playing both boys and girls basketball.
We appreciate being able to attend games at one location. My son and daughter play at Southridge High School. I am fortunate that the 3A league embraced the idea of keeping families together. I notice that the local 4A schools send their boys and girls varsity teams in opposite directions.
If the new southern league format is adopted, I would hope the superintendents would continue with the format that has both boys and girls playing at the same location.
Let's keep our families together.
