HERMISTON -- A Umatilla County man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly robbing a Hermiston woman at gunpoint at her home, authorities said.
The 47-year-old resident of the home at 80290 Banks Lane reported the robbery at 2:45 p.m. He told Umatilla County sheriff's deputies that his 42-year-old girlfriend had been robbed by two men.
The tires on the victim's car also were sliced and flattened, authorities said.
One of the suspects, Douglas Haggard, 33, was arrested by deputies about 8:20 p.m. on suspicion of criminal mischief.
"There seems to be some history between the reported victims and the suspects in this case, and things are not as clear as we would like to see them," Undersheriff Terry Rowan said. "Because of the relationship between the involved parties here, we are confident this is an isolated incident."
