* 1988 -- Connell won six straight matches and recorded five pins as it clinched the Yakima Valley A East wrestling title with a victory over Prosser. Hallie Tuck (129), Everett Isaac (141), Jami Freeman (148), Jermey Tuttle (158) and Brent Casper (178) all won by pin as the Eagles improved their overall record to 13-0.

* 1980 -- Shari DeVoir scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Richland Bombers past the stubborn Davis Pirates 67-45 in a Big Nine Conference girls basketball contest.

* 1980 -- A buzzer beating field goal by Isadore Henderson gave host Pasco a 65-63 victory over Kennewick in a Big Nine Conference basketball game.
