A two-vehicle accident at 10:55 a.m. Saturday four miles west of Ellensburg sent one man to the hospital.

The Washington State Patrol said Shaun T. Dennis, 22, of Oak Harbor was westbound on Highway 90 driving his 1995 Suzuki Sidekick and pulling a utility trailer when he lost control of his vehicle. The Sidekick and trailer hit a bridge barrier and slid in front of a 1994 Peterbilt semi-truck driven by Adrian Mendoza, 24, of Grandview. Troopers reported the two vehicles collided in the west-bound right lane.

Mendoza and his passenger, Rodolfo Garribay, 20, of Santa Ana, Calif., were not injured. Dennis was taken by ambulance to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital in Ellensburg where he was treated and released.

Troopers charged Dennis with driving too fast for the road conditions.
