The presidential candidates that Republicans have considered so far are disturbing, to say the least.
Rick Perry firmly believes that if you don't ascribe to his religious beliefs, you are "going to get a one-way ticket straight to hell." Rick appears to be a home-grown Osama bin Laden.
Michele Bachman believes that carbon dioxide is a harmless gas that couldn't possibly be responsible for global warming. Hoot!
Ron Paul believes it is OK for Iran to have nuclear weapons. Well, those espousing jihad would certainly agree with him.
Newt Gingrich is a crook who received $1.6 million from Freddie Mac for consulting services (read that "lobbying") and then lied about it.
Rick Santorum believes contraception is "a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to the way things should be." Hoot!
All of the above candidates believe that evolution, the bedrock of nearly all the sciences, has not been "proven," and therefore the nonscience of intelligent design could be taught in schools, perhaps along with astrology.
The only rational, decent candidate among them is Mitt Romney, and he is eschewed by many Republicans for, of all things, his religion. Hoot!
