RICHLAND — Richland police and the Richland School District have closed the hill at Carmichael Middle School to sledding because of unsafe conditions.

According to the Richland police, staff at Kadlec Regional Medical Center suggested the hill be closed after sledding at the popular venue led to at least two accidents resulting injuries.

"We realize this is a popular spot for outdoor activities but ask that people stay off the frozen slope until conditions improve," the news release said.
