Congressional schedule

Would you like to make $1,487.18 per day of work? Would you like to only work (there's a laugh) 117 days of the year to make $174,000 a year. Then, add in other benefits that you (read the public taxpayer) will never have access to? Health care, retirement, etc.

It's simple! Just become an elected member of Congress! The current political partisan dissension, with our federally elected officials, is a joke! Their public rating is at 12 percent on job satisfaction, so I wonder why would you keep an employee who cannot perform? You can easily find the 2012 congressional work schedule online if you think I'm kidding.

Now, I know that our senators and representatives are supposed to come home to their constituents during the recesses to keep tabs on the pulse on the people. That is fair. However, there are no requirements for what they do during those off times, and they can travel anywhere they want and hold as many or as few "town hall" events as they see fit. So there is no guarantee that they are listening to their voting base at all.

I think we need some reform.

It's time for a recall!
