Joan and Vincent Anderson of West Richland celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on a cruise to Mexico.

They were married on March 6, 1961, at the Justice of the Peace in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Joan moved to the Mid-Columbia in 1944 and Vince in 1953.

Joan worked for Kadlec Medical Center and retired in 1996. After retiring she went to work for the Richland School District. She is now working for the daycare at Christ the King Church.

Vince worked for Welch Foods in Kennewick starting out as a lab employee and then as a processing supervisor and retired in 1997 as a plant manager in Grandview.

They are members of Christ the King Church and the Richland Players. They also enjoy traveling.

They have two children, Michael Anderson of Benton City and Theresa Gregg of Kennewick. They have four grandchildren.
