Fast Focus: Federal issue

The question should be national, not statewide, legalization. The way the justice system is playing pass the hot potato on this issue is worse than the cooperation the U.S. Congress enjoys.

State laws say this, county ordinances say this, city codes say this, etc. They all end up in court. People who have medical permission to use and grow sometimes share unlawfully. People who have medical need for it, even those with a terminal illness, are often sent through the hoops to obtain it.

I personally have no use for it. I think that the amount of impaired people on the highways is too many. But seeing the legal drug ads on TV and the warnings they give, how can marijuana be anymore dangerous or harmful than those or alcohol. After eliminating the state liquor stores are we going to have another agency with gram scales?
