Turner's 24 lifts Richland boys in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE — Tyrell Turner continued his run of strong play, recording five rebounds, six assists and five steals to go with a game-high 24 points as Richland beat host Moses Lake 68-56 on Saturday in a CBBN 4A matchup.

"(Turner) has really turned into a leader. He's doing a little bit of everything," Bombers coach Earl Streufert said. "We jumped out to an early lead of 15-3, then went a little cold in the second quarter. Our defense wore them down in the fourth quarter."

Colter Quick added 12 points, and Nathan Streufert chipped in nine points and 10 rebounds to lift Richland.

Cliff Phillips led the Chiefs with 16 points. Dennis Ulyenchuk added 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Walla Walla 59, Chiawana 56: Robert Ferenz had seven rebounds and 17 points for Walla Walla in a CBBN 4A victory on the road against Chiawana.

The Blue Devils outscored Chiawana 23-8 in the third quarter thanks to poor shooting and foul trouble by the Riverhawks.

Miquiyah Zamora's double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds led the Riverhawks.

"We came back and were able to penetrate shots and execute well down the stretch to win," said Kennewick coach Bradyn Leyde. "Eastmont did a nice job."

HANFORD 74, PASCO 60: Joe Douglas had 29 points and nine rebounds to lead the host Falcons past the Bulldogs in CBBN 3A action.

"It was a nice bounceback after getting drubbed (Friday) night by Kamiakin," said Hanford coach Paul Mayer, whose team built a nice lead with a 27-point third quarter.

Julian Figueroa and Efrain Cardoza paced Pasco with 15 points apiece.
