Gabriel Iglesias doesn't like being called fat even though he is a bit on the portly side.
He prefers to think of himself as "fluffy," and he uses that self-characterization all the time in his comedy routine.
Iglesias brings his family brand of humor to the Tri-Cities on Jan. 15 for a one-night show at Toyota Center in Kennewick.
Iglesias has a clean comic style that has earned him popularity across the country where audiences range from little tykes to old folks.
He's been a favorite on Comedy Central especially since the release of his latest CD titled I'm Not Fat...I'm Fluffy, which was recorded in front of a live audience last year.
Iglesias has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, as well as provided a voice for characters on Family Guy.
His latest Comedy Central special, Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-Up Revolution, featured a range of comics including himself.
This stand-up tours have landed him in performance houses around the world from Australia to Saudi Arabia and now the Tri-Cities.
