CBBN boys: Hanford tops Southridge 75-62

RICHLAND -- Jalen Watson scored 24 points, and Joe Douglas had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Hanford Falcons past the Southridge Suns 75-62 in CBBN 3A boys basketball action Saturday.

"Jalen Watson had a great game, and Jalen DeVine really played good defense," Hanford coach Paul Mayer said.

Brad Scott was Southridge's top scorer with 18 points, and he also had eight rebounds.

Austin Strock had 22 points to lead the Rams to a road win over Pasco.

The Bulldogs got 20 points and six rebounds from Julian Figueroa.

Another cold-shooting night for Chiawana spelled doom as the host Riverhawks lost to Davis in a CBBN 4A game.

The Riverhawks were 20-for-63 from the floor for the game and trailed the Pirates 42-27 at halftime. But Chiawana got hot in the third quarter and trailed just 52-51 entering the final period.

Raymond Navarro paced the Pirates with 20 points.

Miquiyah Zamora paced the Riverhawks with 20 points, while Jordan Downing added 13 points and nine rebounds.

Josh Eggers converted a three-point play to send the game into overtime, then made all eight of his foul shots in the extra period to lead Walla Walla to a CBBN 4A win at home.
