The Kennewick Lions went on the road for a tough test Thursday against Sunnyside, splitting a CBBN league matchup 2-2 but winning on overall pin total at Valley Lanes in Sunnyside.
"It wasn't a pretty win, but it was a win. We'll take any one of those," said Lions coach Oscar Garnica.
Kennewick can clinch the home advantage for districts with a victory next week against Selah. The Lions are tied with West Valley in victories but hold the edge on total pins.
