Well, the verdict is in. Wind power is a scam, overrated, inefficient, very expensive and going to cost the electric ratepayers plenty.
I come to that verdict because The Oregonian, East Oregonian, LaGrande Observer, Albany Democrat-Herald and Tri-City Herald have had editorials/articles stating these facts.
Who brought these monstrosities to the Northwest. The federal government, Oregon and Washington legislatures, Govs. John Kitzhaber and Ted Kulongoski of Oregon, governors of Washington, U.S. Sens. Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, federal legislators from Washington and county commissioners on both sides of the Columbia River.
Why?
When will voters of these states demand that legislators start listening to the wants of the people? Start voting these people out of office next year. If you need an incentive to vote, just thing of your electric bill up by as much as 50 percent. Then think about looking at windmills for the next 40 years like the people of California have done.
It is now in your hands, pick up your phone and call your legislators and tell them that you do not want them to renew the subsidies for wind power.
