Goose solutions

Amen! Jack Hamburg on the goose problem in Lawerence Scott Park (Letters, Dec. 9). However, the problem exists in every park and on almost every walking path in the area. The filthy little squatters are everywhere. I have read that geese will not stay in a hostile environment so I would first suggest that we round up as many nontrained, ill-mannered bird dogs as we can find, put three or four in each park and let them have at it. The dogs will have great fun, and the harrassed geese will probably leave.

My second and, personal favorite, solution would be to hold the "mother of all" goose hunts. I am sure if you turned every shotgun owner in this area loose, they would clean up the problem in a couple of weekends and return the parks to us peace loving dog walkers.
