CHELAN — Several roads on the Chelan Ranger District are scheduled to close to wheeled vehicles, and open to snowmobiling and skiing beginning Tuesday.

The roads have not yet been closed to wheeled vehicles due to the lack of snow, but if they receive adequate snow in upcoming storms, they will, the Forest Service says.

Most of the roads connect over 200 miles of snowmobile trails between the Entiat, Chelan and Methow Valley ranger districts.

They include Grade Creek Road, Upper Joe Creek Road beyond Antilon Lake Sno-Park, Washington Creek Road, Cooper Mountain road, Slide Ridge Road and Shady Pass Road above the Twenty-five Mile Creek Sno-Park, Shady Pass Road and Entiat River Road above the Entiat River Sno-Park, and Putteman Gulch Road.

For more information, call the Chelan Ranger District at 682-4900.
