1979 -- Scott Linehan scored only six points on the night, but it was his 18-foot jumper with 1:35 remaining that gave Sunnyside the lead for good in a 49-48 win over visiting Hanford in a Mid-Valley League matchup.

1976 -- Hanford's 6-8 junior Greg Thesenvitz played an excellent all-around game with 21 points, nine rebounds and five blocked shots as the Falcons won its sixth straight with a 62-40 besting of host Grandview.

1988 -- A pair of Richland players -- linebacker Nate Holdren and defensive back Rueben Olveda -- and Kennewick offensive lineman Jeremy Hale were named to the Class AAA All-State football team.
