A 32-year-old Pasco man was arrested after allegedly forcing his way into a neighbor's home and trying to force her to have sex with him.

Eluterio Morfin Camacho is being held in the Franklin County jail on investigation of first-degree burglary.

During Camacho's preliminary appearance Monday in Franklin County Superior Court, Deputy Prosecutor Teddy Chow asked for bail to be set at $100,000.

"This is a very serious allegation, your honor," Chow told Judge Cameron Mitchell.

Chow said Camacho's criminal history, which includes convictions this year for malicious mischief and taking a vehicle without permission, warrants a high bail.

Chow also noted that Camacho's alleged crime involves a neighbor and could possibly include a sexual motivation allegation.

Mitchell set bail at $100,000 and appointed Ryan Swinburnson to represent Camacho.

Pasco police responded to a home on the 600 block of Shoshone Street at 8:40 a.m. Saturday after the 19-year-old woman called 911, said court documents.

She said she was asleep in her apartment with her infant son when there was a slight knock at her door.

She unlocked the door thinking it may be her mother, but as she started to turn the knob the door was forced open, documents said.

The woman said almost as quickly, the door was closed and Camacho, who was wearing a hood that hid his face, was standing there with a weapon -- possibly a knife.

Camacho reportedly thrust the weapon at her and said, "I'm going to kill you," and "I know that you live by yourself, so I am going to kill you," documents said.

The woman said he also claimed to have a gun as he reached behind his back.

The woman said she was extremely frightened as Camacho pushed her on the bed and climbed on top of her, documents said.

Camacho allegedly begged her to kiss him as he tried to assault her.

When the victim tried to get him to let her see his face, he initially said no because he was afraid she would call the police, documents said.

She promised she wouldn't and he eventually removed his hood and she recognized him as one of the brothers who live nearby, documents said.

She was able to break free and ran to her mother's house as Camacho fled.

Pasco police later found Camacho and he was booked into jail early Monday. Prosecutors have until Wednesday to charge him or release him.
