* 1988: Stu Barnes scored two goals and handed out four assists, and the Tri-City Americans handed the Victoria Cougars an 8-4 Western Hockey League loss. It was the biggest point total to date for coach John Olver's Ams. The game was called with 2:52 remaining because of excessive fighting between the two clubs.

* 1999: With coach Darlene Harris in the hospital recovering from surgery, the Southridge girls basketball team beat Moses Lake 58-44 behind 20 points, 14 rebounds and four steals from Suns senior Brianna Matson.
