If you're one of the few people on the planet who is not familiar with Ralphie and his diligent efforts to convince his parents, his teacher and Santa that a Red Ryder BB gun is all he wants for Christmas, then you won't want to miss A Christmas Story.

This hilariously funny holiday classic movie, recommended for all ages, will be shown at 8 p.m. Dec 17 at the Princess Theatre, 1226 Meade Ave., in Prosser. Cost is $5.

There will be a special social hour in the Green Room at the theater starting at 7 p.m., which is open to the 21 and older crowd only.
